What you will see
The Parent / Caregiver view is a calm summary of what the school has shared about your child. It is written in plain language, in English, Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese — you choose. You will see only what your child's teacher has chosen to share, and only after you have given consent.
- Shared moments — Everyday highlights the teacher chose to share: a note, a photo, or a short clip of your child's learning.
- Approved reports — Term reports the teacher has edited and approved word by word. Each one is clearly marked as AI-assisted and approved by the teacher.
- No scores, no labels — Progress is described against your child's own past, never against other children. There are no grades and no diagnoses.
- Your child's own view — With an adult beside them, your child can look at their own work and effort stickers — strengths only, no numbers, no labels.
When you will see it
Nothing is sent automatically. Every item follows the same path before it can reach you. How often your school shares updates is to be confirmed.

Consent in plain words
Nothing reaches a family until a parent gives consent. You choose how much may be shared, and you can change your mind at any time. The answers below describe the demonstration's design. The final consent wording and levels are to be confirmed, and will be settled before any real data is collected.
Will I see anything before I agree?
No. Until you give consent, the parent view is empty. Nothing is shared, and nothing is sent to you.
What are the consent levels?
Four levels: full, partial, pending, declined. 'Pending' means the school is still waiting for your answer, so nothing is shared yet.
What does partial consent mean?
Under partial consent, video stays with the school. You still see the shared notes and approved reports, but no clip appears, and reports do not cite clips.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. If you withdraw consent, the parent view is emptied immediately, with a plain explanation of what changed.
Do I need an account?
In this demonstration, a parent consents through a one-time invite link, with no account. How families sign in for real is to be confirmed.
What happens to a video clip?
Clips are filed in your child's folder. Under partial consent they stay with the school. Any signals drawn from a clip are provisional — not yet final — and for the teacher's eyes only. They are never a diagnosis.
How to read a report
A report is a bound stack of pages chosen from your child's folder. It is drafted from the evidence in that folder, then edited and approved by the teacher. Here is what to look for.
- The footer — Every report you receive ends with 'AI-assisted · reviewed and approved by the teacher'. This footer cannot be removed. It means a person checked every word.
- Sources — The report says how many evidence items it is based on and lists them. Nothing is invented. If something is missing, the report says so rather than guessing.
- Progress, not marks — Growth is described across several areas — for example communication, social skills and self-management — against your child's own earlier work. There are no scores, grades or rankings.
- Respectful wording — Reports use strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming language — words that respect each child as they are. They may say 'possible' or 'for example'; they never diagnose or label.
- English and Chinese — Reports are designed to come in English and Chinese (Traditional or Simplified), with checks that the meaning stays the same. You can print one to PDF.
Your child's data
Your child's records are treated as confidential personal data under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). The Platform collects only what a strengths-based portfolio needs — nothing more. Each school's records are kept separate; one school can never see another's. Every share, consent change and AI action is recorded in an audit trail that uses ids, not names. Programme partners see only de-identified figures — never names, photos or clips. The AI is only a helper. It suggests — it never decides. It never diagnoses, labels, or scores a child. The whole Platform also works with the AI switched off.

Your child's school is always your first point of contact. The Platform supports the conversation between home and school; it does not replace it. If you have a concern about your child's wellbeing, tell the school — concerns are handled by people at the school, never by the AI. Contact details for each participating school are to be confirmed. Any names you see in the demonstration are made up.
