Terms of use

Three short draft statements for the JC SEN Portfolio demonstration — privacy, terms of use and accessibility. Every section is a draft for a legal adviser to confirm; anything not yet settled says “to be confirmed”.

Draft content 12 item(s) marked "to be confirmed" by the programme office.

DRAFT — legal adviser to confirm.

These terms cover the public demonstration of the JC SEN Portfolio — the JC SEN AI-Powered Student Portfolio Platform. By using the demonstration you accept them.

The platform is designed as one component of a five-year programme initiated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. This demonstration is not that programme's official website. It is not endorsed by the Trust or by any partner, and no real school uses it. No organisation's name is built into its public pages: the name shown is a setting.

Demonstration data only

DRAFT — legal adviser to confirm.

Demonstration · synthetic data only — no real children. Every figure on screen is calculated on the spot from a pre-loaded database of made-up data, and is labelled as demonstration data with an as-of time. The people in the demonstration — the teacher, the student, the parent and the school office staff — are fictional personas.

Please do not enter real personal data about any real child, family, teacher or staff member into the demonstration. Nothing you see here is a record about a real person, and nothing here is a real school's data.

What the AI does — and does not

DRAFT — legal adviser to confirm.

The AI in the platform is an assistant, not the product. It is assistive only — never diagnostic; a teacher approves everything. Nothing in the demonstration is medical, psychological, educational or legal advice, and it must not be used to make a decision about any real child. Video ‘insight’ signals in the demonstration are provisional sample outputs (model: spec pending). They have not been validated.

  • It suggests — it never decides. — It never makes a diagnosis, a label, an eligibility decision, a risk score or an intervention on its own.
  • It never diagnoses, labels, or scores a child. — Outputs are worded as possible associations or examples, in strength-based language.
  • Nothing it writes reaches a student or parent until a teacher approves it. — Every output goes through understand → correct → reject → trace.
  • Every AI action is logged. — Each output records the model, prompt and version used.
  • The platform works with the AI off. — AI is a separate layer with a switch for each feature; the portfolio flow continues without it.

Using the demonstration

DRAFT — legal adviser to confirm.

You may explore the demonstration to understand how the platform is designed. Six looks are offered over the same data, screens and privacy rules — you are choosing the look, not the product. When you use it:

  • Stay in your role — Access is denied by default. Attempts to reach another school's or another role's data are blocked and logged.
  • Do not add real data — Use the synthetic personas only. Never enter a real person's details.
  • Expect change — The demonstration may change, pause or be withdrawn at any time without notice.
  • No reliance — The demonstration is provided as is, for illustration. Do not rely on it for any real decision.
