What this is

JC SEN Portfolio is short for the JC SEN AI-Powered Student Portfolio Platform. It is part of a five-year programme initiated by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust: *Fostering an Inclusive and Empowering Learning Environment for Neurodivergent Primary School Students*.

Think of it as a folder for each child. Teachers file everyday moments — a note, a photo, a short clip. Over time the folder shows how the child grows: their own strengths, compared with their own past. No scores, no grades.

A small AI helper reads the folder and drafts new pages. It suggests — it never decides. A teacher approves every word. Nothing reaches a family until a parent gives consent. It all works with the AI off.

Who it is for

Supporting a child with special educational needs is everyone's job. This is the Whole School Approach. So the same folder looks different to each person, and each person sees only what their role allows.

  • Teachers and SENCOs — A class board, evidence capture, and AI-drafted reports. File a moment in about fifteen seconds; edit and approve every draft in your own words.
  • Parents and caregivers — A calm summary of what the school has shared about their child. Nothing reaches a family until a parent gives consent — and if consent is withdrawn, the view empties at once.
  • Pupils — A child-safe view of their own work — no scores, no labels. A pupil looks with a trusted adult beside them; there is nothing to type and no AI on this screen.
  • Schools — Manage roster, staff, classes and consent — metadata only. The school office can never see inside a child's portfolio, and one school never sees another's records.
  • Programme and partners — A live programme-wide dashboard, settings and AI governance. NGO coordinators and researchers see de-identified figures only — no names, no media — with small groups suppressed.

Figures, with their source

Every figure on this page carries a date and a source. The first two counts come from the demonstration database and are recounted each time the page loads. The other four describe how the demo is built. None of them comes from a real school.

About this demonstration

Demonstration · synthetic data only — no real children. Every person here — the teacher, the pupil, the parent, the school office — is a made-up persona. No real school uses this site, and it is not the programme's official website.

Some things shown are still the delivery team's design, to be confirmed: the family consent flow, the sign-in method for real schools, and the Chinese titles of the programme and product. Partner organisations are not named until confirmed. Video "insight" signals are provisional: a gentle prompt for the teacher to look, never a diagnosis, not yet a validated feature.

The front door offers six looks. All six use the same data and rules. You are choosing the look, not the product.
